Hey there!

I come from the Acadiana region of South Louisiana (if my last name didn’t immediately give it away), and moved to Chicago in 2014 to continue my architectural studies. I love it here so much, that it’s my home now.

Currently, I’m working as both a watercolor artist and architectural designer.

I love creating excessively detailed paintings of things I like, which happens to be mostly robots, rockets, architecture and flowers.

Why this subject matter?

Coming from a family of mechanics, I’ve always found myself attracted to the abstract geometry of machines and am constantly amazed by the inner-workings of their engineering.

I think that’s because even if you don’t understand something, it’s still possible to recognize that it’s beautiful.

It hard for me not to consider what those odd shapes of metal and tangles of wire represent for the progress of humanity - both where we’ve been and where we’re going. What’s been accomplished so far is nothing short of miraculous, and there’s still lots to discover.

The gist of it is this:

I hope to express my optimism and appreciation through these paintings, and that through them, you can enjoy day-dreaming about a beautiful future as much as I do.

Besides space travel.. I'm also really into data centers, dancing, sci-fi, fencing (foil), pastries, glitches, violin concertos, existentialism and whatever my other obsession-du-jour happens to be.

(And believe me.. there’s always something new.)
